Built around a full spec alpine feature set, the Warthog 30L is a versatile pack that can be stripped down, making it up to 100 g lighter.

The Warthog has been updated to be lighter and even more minimalist. It is a bold and uncompromising pack for the most serious and committing alpine objectives. Built on our new pack fit platform and offered in two sizes, the fit and carry of the Warthog set it apart. Our innovative hybrid laminated shoulder straps is inspired by climbing harness construction to produce a carry system which is super low profile but offers high load distribution and comfort. Carbonate coated fabrics shed off snow and ice and make this bag even more robust for intensive use in winter conditions.

This is my third Warthog. The first got abused in the tracks of an ATV going into an ice climb. The second is on loan to a museum for a modern mountain climbing. I’m testing this one with hiking, scrambling, and climbing.

Perfect for a day out!

I’m pretty stoked on the Warthog 30 after a few days use. From a guiding perspective I can carry all my kit and essentials (with the helmet holder) and then compress the pack down and climb without feeling like I’m carrying a pack! Awesome construction, lightweight and a feature set I think most would be looking for in an alpine day pack.

Climbs great, perfect size for me, innovative front pocket, great tool pockets, good closure system. Only complaint, epic to remove the waist belt padding.

Good but...

Perfect bag for climbing but if you need it as a do-it-all bag, the shoulder straps, pretty narrow, do not provide a great carrying comfort. A little strap and buckle, even a plastic one, would have been appreciated inside the top or front pocket in order to secure the keys or other stuff.

great pack except for....

This is the perfect pack for fast and light types of climbing. After you strip it down to the bare essentials it weighs almost nothing ,just what one needs for a fast and lite push to the summit . If you pack smart you can still pack enough for at least one maybe 2 bivys. My only complaint is the sternum buckle. Waaaay to wimpy!! Mine came apart after using it only a couple of times. Replace it with a heavier buckle and you will have the perfect pack..
Also I was unable to reach anyone in regards to replacing the blown out buckle. So I redid it myself using buckles from a couple,ahemmm... of my other packs. Much better.
