Great Backpack Carry!

The duffel is certainly more comfortable than others I have used ex Rab, Patagonia, etc when used as a backpack. It is supportive and honestly feels better than some of my backpacks. I specifically bought the 50L as my do it all carry system for travel and storage when traveling. The material is burley, the zipper is robust, I don't have many complaints at all.

A couple feature considerations for the next generation would be to remove the extended zipper clips on the side completely. It's somewhat of a strange feature to me. Mimicking the other side with a grab handle and small stash pocket would make this duffel much easier to carry around when not worn as a backpack. Two end side grab handles would make this pretty much the perfect duffel. I would certainly sacrifice the couple inches of zipper opening for another handle to load on and off baggage claims, overhead compartments, and in and out of the car. While there are who long side handles it's not the intuitive way to carry the duffel in my opinion.

When not in backpack mode the more "suitcase" carry style seems a little fragile, although, I haven't had any issues yet carrying from the backpack straps. I think extending the foam down the backpack straps would help alleviate this a touch and make for a more comfortable grip when the duffel is loaded fully and fit folks with broader shoulders better in backpack mode.

In parting, I do think these are very quality duffels and highly recommend them if you utilize the backpack feature regularly. I bought this for the backpack carry and I am very pleased.
