Bought the 8L version of this bag to carry for multi-pitch climbing and guiding. The 8L size is just enough to carry everything I need for 4 or 5 hours on the wall: 1.5L of water, rain shell, cell phone, first aid kit, and food. If you're planning to spend a whole day on the wall, I'd recommend the 12L version.
Things I love about this bag:
–It's lightweight and compacts very well.
–It's sleek and low profile, so it rarely snags on rocks and branches
Great features for trail running, front pockets need to be a bit larger.. Need a bigger size for fastpacking. Have used the squirrel 22 for fastpacking. Blue ice should make more of these packs geared towards running. It’s a thing now perhaps you have heard of the UTMB?
